Summary
This study tested whether a computer program could help doctors choose the right dose of a statin (simvastatin) for people with liver cirrhosis and high blood pressure in the liver (portal hypertension). Twenty-two adults with mild to moderate cirrhosis took part. The goal was to see if the program could make the drug safer and more effective by checking changes in blood flow and lab tests over three months.
