Sugar water vs. salt water: which makes anesthesia last longer?

Summary
This study compares two ways to dilute a numbing medicine (bupivacaine) for arm surgery pain blocks: one using sugar water (D5W) and the other using normal salt water (saline). Researchers want to see if sugar water helps the block work faster or last longer. About 90 adults having elective upper arm surgery will take part.
