Fiber fuel: could your diet boost cancer immunotherapy?

NCT ID NCT04645680

First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at whether eating a high-fiber diet can change the gut bacteria in people with advanced melanoma who are receiving standard immunotherapy. About 50 participants will be randomly assigned to either a high-fiber or a healthy control diet for a period of time. The main goal is to see if the diet affects the types and diversity of bacteria in the gut, which might influence how well the immune system fights the cancer.
