Summary

This study looks at whether a Mediterranean-style diet can improve arthritis symptoms in children by changing the bacteria in their gut. Fifty-four children aged 8-18 with juvenile idiopathic arthritis will follow the diet for 8 weeks, with an option to continue for 4 more weeks. Researchers will collect stool and blood samples, along with diet and symptom reports, to see if the diet helps and if gut changes are linked to improvement.

Phase numbers describe drug development. The registry uses this when they do not apply, as it does for trials of devices, procedures or behaviour changes, and for observational studies.

Participants

About 54 people

The number the study aims to enrol. It can still change while the study runs.
