First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether diaphragmatic breathing (deep belly breathing) can reduce pain, improve daily function, balance, and quality of life in pregnant women with low back pain. 58 pregnant women between 19-29 weeks of pregnancy who had new back pain participated. The results help show if a simple breathing technique can be a safe, drug-free way to manage pregnancy-related back pain.
