First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether a higher dose (8 mg) of the steroid dexamethasone works better than a lower dose (4 mg) or a placebo for pain after dental implant surgery. About 138 adults getting a single tooth implant will be randomly assigned to one of three groups. Pain will be measured for 6 days after surgery, and the number of pain pills taken will also be recorded. The goal is to find the best dose to ease pain after this common dental procedure.
