Common allergy drug could help calm bowel inflammation
NCT ID NCT07333716
Summary
This study is testing whether adding the allergy medication desloratadine to standard ulcerative colitis treatment helps reduce inflammation and improve symptoms. Researchers will enroll 44 adults with mild to moderate ulcerative colitis who are already taking mesalamine. The goal is to see if this combination therapy better controls disease activity than standard treatment alone.
