Brain-Focused therapy aims to rewire trauma memories
NCT ID NCT04317820
Summary
This study is testing whether a new type of talk therapy called Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) can help reduce symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). About 234 adults with PTSD will either receive the DBR therapy right away or be placed on a waitlist. The therapy involves focusing on physical tension in the body while recalling a traumatic memory, with the goal of helping the brain process the memory differently and reduce distress.
