Brain-Focused therapy aims to ease Trauma's grip

NCT ID NCT04317820

Summary

This study is testing whether a therapy called Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) can help reduce symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The therapy involves recalling a traumatic memory while focusing on physical tension in the head and neck, aiming to process the memory in a less distressing way. Researchers are comparing DBR to a waitlist group in 234 adults with PTSD to see if it improves symptoms.
