New combo attack on Hard-to-Treat cancers shows early promise
NCT ID NCT04704661
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This early-phase trial tests a combination of two drugs—trastuzumab deruxtecan (a targeted chemotherapy) and ceralasertib (which blocks a DNA repair enzyme)—in people with advanced solid tumors that have a HER2 mutation. The goal is to find the safest dose and see if the combo works better than the chemotherapy alone for certain stomach and colorectal cancers. About 51 adults with advanced breast, stomach, colon, or other HER2-positive cancers are taking part.
