Summary

This study tests whether daridorexant, a medication that blocks certain brain signals related to wakefulness, can reduce alcohol cravings and improve sleep in people with alcohol use disorder and sleep problems. About 150 adults with moderate to severe alcohol use disorder and poor sleep will take the drug or a placebo for several weeks. The goal is to see if the drug helps them drink less and sleep better.
