Summary

This study tests whether daridorexant, a medication that blocks certain brain signals related to wakefulness, can help people with alcohol use disorder who also have trouble sleeping. About 150 adults will receive either the drug or a placebo, and researchers will measure changes in sleep time, alcohol cravings, and daily drinking. The goal is to see if improving sleep can also reduce alcohol use.
