Blood test could personalize breast cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT07394218

First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study explores whether changes in a blood-based tumor marker (ctDNA) can help doctors decide the best treatment for people with HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer. Participants first receive a standard antibody-drug combination therapy. Based on how much the ctDNA level drops, they may get a different follow-up treatment. The goal is to see if this personalized approach improves how long the cancer stays under control.
