Blood test may tailor chemo duration for colorectal cancer patients

Summary
This study tests whether a blood test that detects tumor DNA can help doctors decide how long chemotherapy should last for people with certain types of colorectal cancer. About 340 adults with stage II or low-risk stage III colorectal cancer will be randomly assigned to standard or extended chemotherapy based on their blood test results. The goal is to see if this personalized approach improves the chance of staying cancer-free for two years.
