Summary
This early-phase study tests whether a cold water extract from saffron flower petals (Crocus sativus tepals) can improve blood sugar and metabolism after a meal. Twenty adults with obesity or prediabetes will drink either the extract or plain water before eating white bread, then have blood tests and metabolism measurements. The goal is to see if this natural drink can help manage blood sugar spikes.
