NCT ID NCT05489575
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using a CPAP machine (commonly used for sleep apnea) can help people with autonomic failure who have high blood pressure when lying down and low blood pressure when standing. About 59 adults aged 40-80 with conditions like Parkinson's or multiple system atrophy will spend a few days in a research center to test CPAP during the day and overnight. The goal is to see if CPAP can safely lower nighttime blood pressure and improve symptoms like dizziness.
