Summary
This study tested whether electrical stimulation of leg muscles works as well as stationary cycling for people with severe COPD during a 3-4 week rehabilitation program. Researchers enrolled 102 patients with advanced COPD to compare these two exercise approaches. The main goal was to see which method better improves leg strength and overall function.
