Simple breath test may forecast dangerous COPD attacks
NCT ID NCT07396311
Summary
This study aims to find out if a simple breath test, which measures a gas called nitric oxide, can predict future flare-ups (exacerbations) in people with COPD who are starting a three-in-one inhaler. Researchers will observe 120 patients for up to a year to see if their initial breath test results are linked to how often they get sicker or how quickly their lung function declines. The study is purely observational and will not change any patient's treatment.
