Simple breath test may forecast COPD crises

NCT ID NCT07396311

Summary

This study aims to find out if a simple breath test, which measures a gas called nitric oxide, can help predict which COPD patients are more likely to have serious flare-ups after starting a standard triple inhaler treatment. Researchers will follow 120 patients for one year to see if their initial breath test results are linked to future hospital visits or declines in lung function. The study is observational, meaning it only monitors patients on their regular treatment without testing new drugs.
