First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests if special reflective roof coatings can lower indoor temperatures and improve health in Fiji. About 800 households will receive either a cool roof or usual care. Researchers will measure heart rate, blood sugar, depression, and other heat-related symptoms to see if the roofs help people cope with rising temperatures.
