Pain relief without touch: study tests Opposite-Side therapy for nerve pain

NCT ID NCT07248943

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study explores a new way to treat cervical radiculopathy (nerve pain in the neck and arm) by gently moving the nerves in the opposite, pain-free arm. It is for people who cannot tolerate direct treatment on their painful side due to sensitivity or fear. Forty adults will receive one session, and researchers will measure changes in pain, disability, and nerve sensitivity right after treatment.
