Gum disease showdown: ultrasonic tools vs. hand instruments in new trial

Summary
This study compares two ways to treat gum disease without surgery: using an ultrasonic device or special hand tools. About 36 adults with moderate to severe periodontitis will be randomly assigned to one method. Researchers will check gum pocket depth and bone levels over a year to see which approach works better.
