Summary

This study tested whether using sonic or ultrasonic waves to activate cleaning solutions during root canal treatment helps infected teeth heal better than standard methods. 42 adults with a single infected tooth received one of three irrigation techniques. Researchers measured changes in infection size using 3D scans before and 6 months after treatment to see which method worked best.
