Heart stent patients: which blood thinner plan cuts bleeding best?

NCT ID NCT05681702

First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at two strategies to reduce bleeding in people with coronary artery disease who have had a stent placed. One approach switches patients from a strong blood thinner to a milder one while keeping aspirin. The other stops aspirin and keeps the strong blood thinner alone. The goal is to see which method better prevents blood clots while lowering bleeding risk. About 90 adults who have been on dual blood thinners for at least a month will take part.
