New hope for hard-to-treat breast cancer: immune-boosting combo trial underway

Summary
This study tests whether combining the immunotherapy drug avelumab with other medications can help people with advanced triple-negative breast cancer. About 145 adults with stage IV or inoperable breast cancer will receive one of several drug combinations. The goal is to see if these treatments can shrink tumors and improve outcomes.
