NCT ID NCT06667479
First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looked at whether taking cold tubs or cold showers for 4 weeks (3 times a week, 4 minutes each) can improve immune function, sleep, mental health, and muscle strength in healthy, active adults aged 18-45. Researchers measured blood markers of inflammation and asked participants about their sleep and well-being. The goal was to see if cold water immersion has real health benefits and if the method (tub vs shower) makes a difference.
