Summary
This study tested a new natural mouthwash made with coconut oil and xylitol to see if it could improve gum health in adults with periodontitis (gum disease). 120 people with mild to moderate gum disease used either the coconut oil rinse or a placebo rinse. Researchers measured gum appearance and bleeding before and after use to see if the rinse helped control gum problems.
