Coaching program tested to guide teens from Kids' to adult doctors
NCT ID NCT05570617
Summary
This study tested a new coaching program to help teenagers with juvenile arthritis or inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) move from pediatric to adult healthcare. Researchers wanted to see if the program was practical to run and if it helped young people feel more confident managing their health. A small group of 27 teens were randomly assigned to receive either the coaching sessions or standard care to compare the approaches.
