Summary
This study looked at whether newborns who fail their hearing screening can be diagnosed with congenital CMV infection and have a full hearing test before they turn one month old. Researchers tested 235 babies to see how quickly they could get results. The goal is to improve early detection and care for hearing loss linked to CMV.
