Smart insulin system could simplify diabetes management for thousands

Summary
This study tests whether a fully automated insulin pump (closed-loop system) can better control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes compared to their usual insulin therapy. About 224 participants will use either the automated system or standard insulin with a continuous glucose monitor for 26 weeks. The goal is to see if the automated system improves HbA1c levels and reduces time spent with high or low blood sugar, while also being safe and easy to use.
