New study tracks muscle recovery in ICU patients on life support

Summary
This study follows 100 adults who needed a heart-lung machine (ECMO) after severe heart or lung failure. Researchers will measure muscle size, strength, and quality of life over time to understand what helps or hinders recovery. The goal is to learn how to better support patients after critical illness.
