Urine test may outsmart blood test in spotting kidney rejection

NCT ID NCT07415876

First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a urine test for a protein called CXCL10 can catch kidney transplant rejection that a standard blood test might miss. Researchers will compare the urine test to the blood test in 50 kidney transplant patients who are having a biopsy. They also want to see if the urine sample can be shipped at room temperature without affecting the results, which could make testing easier and more accessible.
