First seen Nov 16, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study followed more than 5,000 adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD) for many years to learn how kidney function declines and how it relates to heart disease. Participants had mild to moderate kidney damage and were not on dialysis. The goal was to find new risk factors and better understand the link between CKD and heart problems, which could help identify high-risk patients earlier.
