Chair time in ICU could boost recovery for ventilator patients

Summary
This study looks at whether moving patients who are on breathing machines out of bed and into a chair helps them regain strength and function better than staying in bed. About 150 adults in the ICU will be randomly assigned to either chair sitting or bed sitting. The goal is to see if chair positioning improves recovery and reduces muscle weakness.
