First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at 99 adults with high heart disease risk to understand how a protein called CETP affects plaque buildup in arteries. Researchers measured CETP activity and used imaging to check artery thickness and calcium. The goal was to learn if CETP can serve as a marker for heart disease, not to test a treatment.
