Scientists probe protein link to clogged arteries
NCT ID NCT02081066
First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at 99 adults with high heart risk to see how a protein called CETP affects plaque buildup in arteries. Researchers measured CETP activity and used scans to check artery thickness and calcium. The goal was to learn if CETP can serve as a marker for heart disease, not to test a treatment.
