Home test kit could boost cervical cancer screening in Hard-to-Reach women
NCT ID NCT04716127
First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested a simple idea: give women who haven't had a cervical cancer screening in over three years a self-sampling kit to use at home. Researchers recruited 656 women aged 50 to 65 in two French departments with low screening rates. The goal was to see if offering the kit directly would increase participation and help catch cancer early.
