First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether quickly increasing the use of mechanical heart pumps can help people survive a severe heart attack complicated by cardiogenic shock, where the heart can't pump enough blood. Researchers will follow 124 patients at 20 hospitals in the United States to see who survives to leave the hospital or 30 days. The goal is to improve decision-making for intensive care treatments.
