New program aims to keep homeless veterans off the streets by treating addiction

Summary

This study will add proven addiction treatments—medication and therapy—to the housing support already offered to homeless veterans. About 8,000 veterans will take part across VA sites. The goal is to help them stay housed and reduce the number who return to homelessness.
