New hope for ovarian cancer: targeted drug combo shows promise in early trial

Summary
This study tests a new drug combination (carboplatin and mirvetuximab) as the first treatment for people with advanced ovarian, fallopian tube, or peritoneal cancer that has a specific marker (folate receptor alpha). About 70 participants will receive the drugs before and after surgery to see if it helps control the cancer. The goal is to measure how long the cancer stays away and how well the treatment works.
