Summary

This study explored new ways to measure and manage pain in cancer patients and survivors. Researchers used a non-invasive brain imaging technique (fNIRS) to see how the brain reacts to pain and tested whether virtual reality (VR) could help reduce pain and the need for pain medication. The study included adults with cancer and healthy volunteers.
