Summary
This study tests whether giving calcium carbonate to pregnant women during labor induction can shorten the time needed and reduce the amount of medication required. Researchers hope it will also lower the chance of stalled labor and cesarean deliveries. The study includes 250 women at 37 weeks or more, comparing those who receive calcium to a historical control group.
