Common supplement could shorten labor and reduce C-Sections

NCT ID NCT06352775

Summary

This study is testing whether giving calcium carbonate, a common over-the-counter supplement, to pregnant people during labor induction can make the process better. Researchers want to see if it shortens the time needed for induction medicine, lowers the chance of a difficult labor or cesarean delivery, and is safe for both mother and baby. They are comparing about 250 people who get the supplement to a similar group from the past who did not.
