Vitamin d gel may fast-track braces: new trial

NCT ID NCT07200349

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 04, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether applying a Vitamin D gel (calcitriol) to one side of the upper jaw can speed up the movement of a canine tooth during orthodontic treatment. Twenty-two people aged 13 to 35 who need premolar extractions will participate. The gel is applied only on one side, and the other side serves as a comparison. The goal is to measure how much faster or farther the tooth moves with the gel.
