First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests whether applying a vitamin D gel (calcitriol) to one side of the upper jaw can speed up the movement of a canine tooth during orthodontic treatment. About 22 people aged 13 to 35 who need premolar extractions will take part. Each person will get the gel on one side and a placebo on the other, and the amount of tooth movement will be measured with 3D scans.
