Early calcitonin may ease nerve pain after spinal injury

Summary
This study tests whether giving calcitonin soon after a spinal cord injury can lower the chance or severity of nerve pain that often follows. Researchers will enroll 126 adults with recent spinal cord injuries and track their pain levels for up to a year. The goal is to see if early treatment makes a lasting difference.
