New hope for stroke patients: drug targets dangerous brain swelling

Summary
This study tests whether the drug butylphthalide can reduce brain swelling and improve recovery in people who had a major stroke and underwent a procedure to reopen a blocked artery. About 100 adults will receive either the drug or a placebo. The goal is to see if the drug helps control brain swelling and leads to better outcomes.
