Just 7 minutes a day? App-Based meditation tested for stress relief in young adults
NCT ID NCT07607782
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Sep 04, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether a short, daily, app-based meditation called Miracle of Mind can help young adults feel better, less stressed, and more resilient. About 354 people aged 18-40 in the US will be randomly assigned to do the meditation, listen to a neutral audio lesson, or continue their normal routine for 4 weeks. Participants will complete surveys on mood, stress, and well-being, and some may share smartwatch heart rate data to see if meditation affects physical stress.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Miracle of Mind meditation (a 7-minute guided breathing and awareness practice via a phone app)
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could offer a simple, free, and safe way for young adults to reduce stress and improve daily well-being without medication.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage study with no blinding, and the meditation may not outperform the neutral audio task. Results rely on self-reported surveys, not objective health outcomes.
