Breath and blood test could spot stomach and esophageal cancer early

NCT ID NCT06346054

First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study aims to see if certain chemicals in a person's breath and blood can help detect early-stage gastro-esophageal cancer. Researchers will compare samples from people with cancer, those with Barrett's esophagus (a pre-cancer condition), and healthy volunteers. Participants provide breath and blood samples during routine visits. The goal is to find a non-invasive way to catch the disease earlier.
