First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study is testing whether certain chemicals in a person's breath and blood can help detect early-stage gastro-esophageal cancer. Researchers will compare samples from 1000 people, including those with cancer, those with a pre-cancer condition called Barrett's esophagus, and healthy volunteers. The goal is to find a simple, non-invasive way to catch these cancers earlier.
